Benham Rock - Climbing Wall
Standing at 7 meters high and with 30 different routes, Benham Rock is the impressive new indoor climbing wall at Benham Sports Arena. Whether you are an experienced climber wanting to hone your skills, or a complete novice wanting to try something new, then the Benham Rock is the place to go!
The Benham Rock is open to individuals and groups as well as being available as part of a corporate or birthday party package. Individuals wishing to use the wall must have first filled out a registration form, although this is not applicable to our instructor led sessions.
Instructed sessions are supervised by a qualified CWA instructor. The maximum group size is 8 and each session lasts for an hour and a half. For individual climbers, there is no time restriction and by taking out an annual membership, big savings can be made. Instructed sessions must be booked in advance, however individual climbers can just turn up, provided they have the relevant experience to climb unsupervised. We strongly recommend that climbers phone ahead, especially at peak times, to check how busy the wall is. Equipment is available for hire, but experienced climbers are invited to use their own harnesses and belay devices should they so wish.

We would further advise climbers that any ability to climb at the Benham Rock Wall does not necessarily translate to an ability to climb on natural rock, quarries, cliffs or mountains. In particular, traditional and adventure climbing requires skills that cannot be learnt indoors.
