Pioneer Centre - Instructed Activites
Pioneer Centre sits in 25 acres of open grassland and woods with spaces provided for basketball, volleyball, football and team games. The Centre offers sports, leisure and adventure activity facilities.
If you don’t fancy going outdoors, Gilmour Lodge incorporates the Joan Tice Activity Hall, providing facilities for 5-a-side and basketball. During the winter months it is also the venue for the much requested ‘Big Bounce’ experience and is regularly used by trainers at all times of year for teambuilding exercises.
During the summer months the heated outdoor swimming pool comes into its own, providing visitors the opportunity for an early morning dip, a game of water polo or simply the chance to cool off.
The ‘Adventure Area’, with its two climbing towers, bouldering walls, challenge course and high ropes course add to the other facilities around site such as indoor archery range, low ropes course, raft building pond, bridge building canyon and much more.
Guests can add from a single instructed activity session to a day’s teambuilding into their programme. Our team of qualified instructors can provide anything from a life changing challenge and character development session to a blast of fresh air to re-awaken mind, body and soul. Please see our activity list for full details and charges.
