Action Centres UK - Opportunities
From Training Facilitators to proficient Heads of Centre, cooperative Kitchen and House Staff to committed Activity Instructors - without our trained, skilled and energetic staff the Action Centres experience wouldn't be the same for the many guests who use the Centres.
Like most organisations and charities, Action Centres UK / NAYC depends on the involvement of many individuals to create a safe and secure, but most of all friendly and fun atmosphere for the thousands of young people and not-so-young people who we welcome to our centres each year.
To ensure a level of service that is consistent, all our staff, both paid & voluntary, complete our own thorough in-house training programme. Activity instructors are also trained in group work and communication skills and gain awards in Nationally Recognised Qualifications. For Health & Safety reasons a good command of the English language, both spoken and understanding, is required.
If you join us with experience and qualifications relevant to Youthwork and outdoor pursuits you will be asked for proof of qualifications and two references.
All staff joining us from the UK will be subject to a police check through the National Criminal Records Bureau to confirm their suitability to work with children. Overseas applicants will be required to provide a police reference.
