Wild Living

rediscovering lost adventures

If you have ever wished there was another way for pupils to achieve and stretch themselves other than the ‘normal’ outdoor activity residential then your dreams have just come true!

"It was great to see the children's confidence grow before our very eyes." - Hadley Junior School

The unique 'Living Wild' experience, delivered in conjunction with the Forestry Commission's Wyre Forest Education Team offers many curriculum benefits relating to science and PSHE.

'Living Wild' seeks to give some of the experience we took for granted when we were younger, back to today’s young people in an environment where safety is paramount. Through their adventures with us they will learn all about their own limits, learn consideration for others, how to be a team, communication skills and often a respect for nature and the environment.

You could be doing pond dipping, mini-beast hunts, making nettle string and brewing nettle tea, stroking a tarantulas belly, holding a snake, flying a hawk, learning how birds of prey were used to help us hunt in times gone by and much, much more.

The main part of your experience will take you on a walk through the Wyre Forest to a secret wilderness location where you will consider the basic skills of survival and then set up camp for the day.

If this captures your imagination and you are looking for something a bit different that teaches appreciation of our natural environment and so much more besides, this really is for you and your class.

Re-discover lost skills on the 'Living Wild' experience only at Pioneer Centre. Call us NOW for more information.
